Payworks desktop payroll application and online HR tools were designed to work on almost any computer.

Our Desktop Application will run on most computers, with modest hardware needs. Our Online Web Solutions were constructed, tested in and optimized for popular web browsers.

Desktop Software

• Operating System
  • Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/Server 2008. Please note Windows 95, and Windows 98 versions lower than SR2 are not supported.
• Memory (ram)
  Operating system minimum.
  • Windows 98/ME/NT 64MB minimum, 128MB recommended.
  • Windows 2000/XP 256MB minimum, 512MB recommended.
  • Windows Vista/Server 2003/Server 2008 512 MB minimum, 1GB recommended.
• Web Browser
  Internet Explorer Version 7.0 with 128 bit encryption.

Online Web Solutions

Minimum System Requirements
Minimum System requirements are the same as Desktop Software.

Web Browsers

• Internet Explorer version 7 (IE 7) or greater.
• Mozilla FireFox version 1.5 (FireFox) or greater.
• Opera version 8 or greater.
• Safari 3.0 or higher (Both Mac, and PC).
• Users will be required to enable popup windows for the Payworks website.
• JavaScript must be enabled.
• Cookies (Session Cookies) must be enabled.

While some older browsers as well as mobile browsers may work, they have not been tested by Payworks. Users should be made aware that the Payworks online web solutions make extensive use of DHTML layers, JavaScript, Regular Expressions, Cascading Style Sheets and CSS positioning.

Display Resolution
The Online Web Solutions are optimised to support a recommended screen resolution of 1024x768.

Minimum: 800x600
We recommend that displays be set to 16 bit colour and that the monitor resolution be set at 1024x768 or greater. 32 bit colour is recommended.

*To ensure that the application maintains a consistent look and feel, we have restricted the maximum height and width of the page to 1024x768. Users with higher screen resolutions will see coloured space around the left, right and bottom edges of the page.
